Antique Brass · Satin Opal Glass · Hand-Finished Wall Sconce

A wall sconce composed of two archetypal forms — a rounded brass dish shade hangs from a curved arm, with a satin opal glass orb glowing beneath the dish like a small lantern. The brass dish reflects light downward and outward, while the opal glass diffuses the bulb into even, glare-free illumination that highlights the warmth of the metal above.

Available as a single sconce for bedside reading or accent placement, or as a horizontal two- or three-head bar for above-mirror vanities, framed gallery walls, and longer hallways. Hardwired with E12 candelabra-base sockets — the bulb selection determines the character of the light.

    Product Overview

    Indirect Reflector Dish

Hand-finished aged brass reflector dish that reflects warm light downward and outward across the wall.

    Satin Opal Glass

Diffuses the bulb into even, glare-free illumination — soft enough for the bedside, bright enough above the mirror.

    Three Sizes

Single-head wall sconce, two-head bar, or three-head bar — sized for the bedside, vanity, or hallway.

Antique Brass · Satin Opal Glass

Hand-finished aged brass body paired with a satin opal glass orb — a single material combination, with no checkout selection required. The brass develops a subtle patina over years of use.

    • Hardwired wall installation — a licensed electrician is recommended.
    • Fits a standard single-gang wall box. All mounting hardware is included.
    • For bedside use, mount the single-head sconce 80–100 cm above the mattress for convenient access to the reading light.
    • For installation above a mirror, center the two- or three-head bar at eye level above the mirror frame.
    • Dimming requires a dimmable LED bulb with an E12 candelabra base, paired with a compatible TRIAC wall dimmer.

Which size should I choose? +

The single-head sconce is sized for bedside reading, accent placement, or use as a pair on either side of a mirror. The two-head bar (L 53 cm) works well above standard 80–110 cm bathroom mirrors or for short gallery walls. The three-head bar (L 71 cm) is suitable above wide vanities (120 cm+), in longer hallways, or as horizontal accent lighting above a console table.

Which bulb do you recommend? +

A warm-white (3000K) 4–6W E12 candelabra-base LED bulb. Frosted or globe bulbs are ideal — clear filament bulbs may look too stark behind the opal glass, while cool-white bulbs contrast with the warm tone of the aged brass. Each head requires one bulb. For dimming, pair a dimmable LED bulb with a compatible TRIAC wall dimmer.

Will the aged brass develop a deeper patina over time? +

The hand-finished aged brass is sealed and stable under normal indoor conditions, retaining its warm tone with only slight deepening over years of use rather than continuing to oxidize. Avoid abrasive polishes and harsh cleaners, which can remove the aged finish — a soft, dry cloth is all the brass needs. Clean the opal glass separately with a mild glass cleaner.
