The Akari A Series Pendant Lamp is the same cotton-paper lantern shape that has hung in thoughtfully designed interiors since the 1950s—and it only requires a hook and a nearby outlet to make an impression in your space. The paper diffuses the bulb's light into something that feels less like a light source and more like a quiet presence. The room softens around it.
No wiring. No electrician. The only decision is where to place the ceiling hook—and which size to choose from ten.

Iconic Lantern Shape
The silhouette of the A Series is one of the most recognizable lamp forms in modern design—a shape that has never needed updating because it was right from the start. It works in any room because its proportions are resolved, not decorative.

Cotton Paper Diffuser
The paper distributes the bulb's light across its entire surface without a visible source or bright center. The light seems to emanate from the paper itself — warm, unhurried, spreading in every direction from every point of the lamp.

Steel Wire Armature
The underlying structure holds the paper in shape without adding visual weight. From any angle below, the lamp appears almost entirely made of paper — light, organic, and finely resolved.

Dimmer-Compatible
From a full, warm glow for dinner to the lower, more intimate light of evening. Pair it with a dimmer switch (sold separately), and the paper lamp takes on its most atmospheric quality at lower settings, with the fibrous texture glowing only at the edges.
