Hand-Glued Paper — Minor Glue Marks Are Normal
The Akari A lamp undergoes a meticulous hand-gluing process using mulberry paper and adhesive. Minor glue marks along the lampshade edge are a normal feature of this artisanal process — not a quality issue. Every lamp bears the unique marks of the hand that made it.
Two Listings — Only the Cord Color Differs
The Akari A lamp is available in two separate listings. The only difference is the color of the power cord — black cord or white cord. All other specifications, dimensions, and materials are identical. Choose the cord color that best suits your ceiling and walls.

The Akari A is a pendant lamp supplied with a generous 180-inch plug-in cord and an inline push-button on/off switch. Hang it from the ceiling using a swag hook, drape the cord decoratively, and plug it into a standard outlet. No electrician is required.
E26 or E27 Base — Bulb Not Included
Uses a standard E26 or E27 base. A low-wattage LED bulb (2700K) is recommended — the paper shade glows beautifully while preserving the material. Avoid high-wattage bulbs that could generate excess heat near the paper. Bulb not included.

Minor glue marks along the edge are a normal feature of the hand-gluing process used to create this mulberry paper lantern. They do not indicate a defect or quality issue.
What is the difference between the two listings?
Only the cord color differs — black cord or white cord. All other specifications, dimensions, and materials are identical. Choose based on what best suits the color of your ceiling and walls.
Is this lamp hardwired or plug-in?
Plug-in. The lamp comes with a 180" (457 cm) cord and an inline push-button on/off switch. Hang it from the ceiling with a swag hook and plug it into a standard outlet — no electrician is required.
