SUMMARY
The design is characterized by the exceptional and playful shade, reflecting Weisdorf’s passion for versatility: The lamp’s base consists of three basic forms—two fixed cylinders and a hemisphere—framed by a thin ring. What makes it special? The hemisphere is divided into two parts, allowing the two halves to move and inviting you to play with the shapes and the light.
Rotating the shade halves changes not only the lamp’s appearance, but also allows you to determine how the light is diffused.
By rotating both halves downward, the light illuminates the ceiling and creates a cozy atmosphere. Positioning the halves upward creates downward light that, for example, illuminates the dining table. If the halves are moved in opposite directions, the light is dispersed indirectly and the shade appears as a sculptural work of art.
