The Nauticus is built from corrosion-resistant die-cast aluminum with a sealed glass shade and waterproof gaskets. It is rated for outdoor installation — porches, garden walls, garage entrances, and covered patios. For greater longevity, install beneath an eave or in a covered area where it is protected from direct and prolonged rain.

Installation
- Wall installation with electrical wiring — a licensed electrician is recommended.
- Fits a standard single-gang outdoor wall box. Mounting hardware included.
- Install in a vertical or horizontal orientation — the fixture looks balanced either way.
- For greater longevity, mount under an eave or in a sheltered position protected from direct rain.
- Seal the wall joint with exterior-grade silicone to prevent moisture from entering behind the fixture.
- Use only E26 / E27 bulbs rated for use in enclosed fixtures. LED strongly recommended — operates at lower temperatures and lasts longer.

Which bulb do you recommend? +
A warm-white (2700K), 6–9W E26/E27 LED bulb is ideal. LED bulbs operate at low temperatures (important for an enclosed outdoor fixture), last significantly longer than incandescent bulbs, and are much more energy-efficient. The frosted glass shade diffuses any bulb type evenly, so you can choose based on wattage and color temperature rather than filament appearance.
Do E26 and E27 mean the same thing? +
Practically speaking, yes. E26 is the North American medium screw base (120V); E27 is the European equivalent (220–240V). The sockets are physically interchangeable—you’ll match the bulb voltage to your local electrical supply. Confirm that the bulb you purchase matches your country’s voltage.
Can I install it horizontally? +
Yes. The Nauticus is designed to look balanced both vertically (the standard orientation for porch lights) and horizontally. Choose whichever best suits your wall’s composition.
Is the lamp dimmable? +
Yes, when paired with a dimmable E26/E27 LED bulb and a compatible TRIAC dimmer switch. Confirm the dimmer’s compatibility with your chosen bulb before installation.
What if my fixture arrives defective? +
Contact us within 30 days of delivery with a brief description and photos. We’ll arrange a replacement or full refund—you won’t be asked to dismantle the fixture or troubleshoot it at home. That’s our job.
