An articulated, spring-balanced desk lamp built around a multi-articulated aluminum arm that rotates, extends, and tilts to direct the light exactly where you need it. The conical aluminum shade tilts independently at the end of the arm, holding any position via a friction joint with no need for retightening.

All sizes share the same arm-and-shade diameter (14.5 cm / 5.7"). Only the arm length and overall height vary. The base diameter is 21 cm / 8.3" for all sizes.

Which size suits my use? +
The Desktop Scala (35 cm) is the typical height of a desk lamp — suitable for home offices, study desks, and bedside tables. The Desk Scala (50 cm) is for console tables, sideboards, and reading tables. The Floor Scala (72 cm) is a low-height task lamp — it sits low for reading over an armchair or beside a sofa.
How does the arm stay in position? +
Internal springs counterbalance the arm at every angle — set the arm wherever you want and stays there without needing to be retightened. The shade also tilts independently at the end of the arm via a friction joint. This is the same articulated mechanism used in classic professional task lamps.
Do I need an electrician? +
No — this is a plug-in lamp. The 59" cord plugs into any standard wall outlet via the inline switch. No wiring, no junction box, no electrician required.
Which bulb does it use? +
One standard E26 bulb (North America) or E27 bulb (EU/UK/AU) up to 25W. We recommend a Warm white LED (3000K) for a residential atmosphere, or a brighter LED for drafting architectural work or precision tasks. Bulb not included.
Is it dimmable? +
The lamp itself is not dimmable, but becomes dimmable when paired with a dimmable LED bulb dimmable and with a plug-in dimmer module (sold separately). Wall dimmers do not apply all plug-in lamps.
