The Piedra Ceiling Light is the light that shows how a room can be
elevated by a single material choice at ceiling level. Natural travertine — the
same stone found in luxury hotel lobbies and premium residential interiors — form
the shade, its characteristic surface holes and veining giving each fixture a subtle
uniqueness. An opal glass globe sits inside the stone, diffusing the G9 bulb in a
uniform warmth filtering through the edges of the travertine. The wooden canopy grounds
natural stone with a second organic material at the mounting point. The ceiling stops
from being a blank surface and becomes the room’s most considered detail.
The ceiling light that brings the materiality of stone into a room.

🪨Natural Stone — Every Piece Is Unique: The surface holes and distinctive veining of travertine are characteristics of the natural material, not defects. Each stone shade of the lamp is a unique object — variation in texture and tone is what makes the material precious.
Why It Works
🪨Ceiling-Level Travertine
Most ceilings have no material story. Travertine changes everything — the stone’s surface texture and warm beige tones bring the same premium material language found in high-end interiors to a fixture occupying the room’s most overlooked plane. The ceiling becomes a design surface.
🫙Opal Globe Diffusion
The opal glass globe inside the stone shade diffuses the G9 bulb’s light evenly in every direction — warm, soft, and contained. Light escaping around the edges of the stone creates a subtle halo effect on the travertine surface, making the stone itself appear to glow from within.
🪵Three Natural Materials
Travertine, opal glass, and wood — three natural materials in one compact fixture. The combination works because all three share the same warm, organic quality. They connect with the language of linen, marble, rattan, and raw wood already present in the room below.
Before & After
Standard Ceiling Light
White plastic or metal — impersonal and cold
No material story at ceiling level
Flat output — functional without atmosphere
The ceiling is treated as a backdrop, not as design
The room feels furnished but unfinished
With Piedra
Natural stone brings a premium material to the ceiling
The opal globe creates enveloping warmth
The stone edges seem to glow at full output
The wooden canopy adds a second natural-material detail
The room feels intentionally designed at every level
Where It Belongs
🛏Bedroom
Above the bed, Piedra replaces a simple ceiling fixture with something worth looking up at. The 10W opal warmth is exactly the right output for a bedroom — soft enough for evening rest, yet sufficient for a bedside reading setting. Pair it with a dimmer for total control.
Dimmer compatible
🛋Living Room
In a living room corner or above a side table, Piedra creates a warm, focused pool of light that layers with floor and table lamps. The stone form reads as an art object from a distance — a material choice that elevates the space without demanding attention.
Accent + ambient
🛁Bathroom
Certified for use in damp environments — the combination of travertine and wood brings spa-quality natural materials to a bathroom ceiling. The warm opal glow is flattering and soft, making a bathroom feel like a thoughtfully considered retreat rather than a utility room.

One Material Throughout the Home
×3
Bedroom, bathroom, living room — travertine everywhere.
Installing the same travertine fixture in multiple rooms creates a material thread that gives a home a unified, premium identity — the stone reads as a deliberate design choice rather than a single accent. Each room receives a warm natural glow overhead with the same considered material; every stone shade is slightly different, keeping the arrangement collected rather than identical. Beige in all three rooms for a warm, cohesive palette — or mix White, Beige, and Walnut for room-by-room tonal variation.
🔝Ceiling Mounting
As a flush ceiling fixture, the travertine shade and opal globe face downward — the warm glow fills the room below, and the stone's surface texture is visible from every angle. The wooden canopy sits neatly against the ceiling.
🧱Wall Mounting
Mounted on a wall, the travertine shade faces outward — the opal globe produces directional ambient lighting that works at bedside height, beside a mirror, or at hallway level. The natural materials appear as wall sculpture when the lamp is off.
