Appreciated for its snow-white color, alabaster was often used by the ancient Egyptians for sarcophagi, temples, and, above all, sculptures. The stone is translucent, giving it a beautiful luminosity, with brown and black markings often visible in the stone. The Alabaster Cube side table is made from cut sheets of natural alabaster, seamlessly joined to create a sense of permanence and solidity, then polished to achieve a wonderfully smooth surface. The LED lighting in the base creates a delicate, ethereal glow.
