Dimensions
This is a large floor lamp. 250 cm (98" / 8.2 ft) tall when fully extended — confirm your ceiling height before ordering. Best suited to rooms with 9-foot ceilings or higher; with standard 8-foot ceilings, the lamp will sit very close to the ceiling when fully extended. The articulated arm can be folded to reduce the overall height when not extended.

How tall is it really? +
98" at full extension — that's just over 8 feet. This is a large-format floor lamp, suited for rooms with 9-foot ceilings or higher. The articulated arm folds down to reduce the overall height when not in use, so it is not always at maximum height. For standard 8-foot ceilings, plan for the lamp to sit very close to the ceiling at full extension.
How does the arm hold its position? +
Internal springs balance the arm at any angle — set the arm where you want it, and it stays there without retightening. The shade also tilts independently at the end of the arm via a friction joint. This is the same articulated mechanism used in classic mid-century work lamps, scaled up to floor-lamp size.
Do I need an electrician? +
No — this is a plug-in floor lamp. The 59" cord connects to any standard wall outlet via the inline switch. No wiring, no junction box, no electrician required. Just place it where you want, plug it in, and turn it on.
What bulb does it use? +
A standard E26 bulb (North America) or E27 bulb (EU/UK/AU), up to 60W. We recommend a warm white LED (3000K) for a residential atmosphere — at this scale, a high-lumen bulb produces serious task lighting suitable for reading or workshop use. Bulb not included.
Is it dimmable? +
The lamp itself is not dimmable, but it becomes dimmable when paired with a dimmable LED bulb and a plug-in dimmer module (sold separately). Wall dimmers do not apply to plug-in fixtures.
