A single hand-crafted mulberry paper globe — Kozo fiber woven into a smooth, luminous sphere that glows warmly from within. Where most pendants frame the bulb as an object, the Kozo Globe dissolves it completely: the light source disappears and what remains is a diffuse radiance that fills the room without direction or glare. Inspired by the tradition of Japanese paper lanterns and the mid-century modernism of Isamu Noguchi's paper lamp studies, this is a plug-in swag pendant available in ten diameters from 40 cm to 120 cm. Hand-glued mulberry paper — minor glue marks are normal
Each globe is hand-crafted using the Chigiri gluing technique. Minor glue marks along the lamp's edge may be visible — this is a natural result of the hand-gluing process and is not a quality defect. Every piece will differ slightly from the next.

Compatible with LED and Edison filament bulbs. A 2700–3000 K warm white LED is recommended — the warm tone passes through the Kozo paper like pure ambient light, with the bulb completely invisible from the outside. A standard 8–12W globe or A-shaped bulb is appropriate for most sizes. For larger sizes (∅ 80 cm+), a 12–15W LED may be preferred for adequate ambient output. Avoid cool white, which creates a harsh quality through the paper.

What is a swag pendant and how do I install it?
A swag pendant hangs from a ceiling hook rather than a hardwired electrical box. Install a ceiling hook or swag hook in the desired position, drape the cord from the plug in a gentle arc across the ceiling to the hook, then let the pendant drop to your preferred height. Excess cord can be gathered or tucked along a ceiling beam. No electrician is needed — the plug connects to any standard wall or floor outlet. The 180″ (457 cm) cord provides enough length for most room configurations.
Which size is right for my dining table?
As a general rule, a globe pendant should be about 50–60% of the table's width for good visual balance. For a 90–100 cm round table seating four: ∅ 50–60 cm. For a 120 cm table seating six: ∅ 60–70 cm. For a grand dining-room statement or a large rectangular table: ∅ 75–90 cm. If you want the globe to dominate as a centerpiece in a high-ceilinged space, ∅ 100 cm or 120 cm creates a truly dramatic effect.
What is Kozo mulberry paper?
Kozo (楚) is the Japanese mulberry plant, and its bark fibers have been used to make handmade washi paper for more than a thousand years. Kozo paper is valued for its long fibers, softness and translucency — properties that make it ideal for paper lanterns. When light passes through Kozo paper, it is diffused evenly with a warm, organic quality that no synthetic material replicates. The paper is durable for its weight, but should be treated as a delicate craft object.
How do I care for the paper globe?
Do not use water or damp cloths on the paper shade. For dust, use a very soft, dry brush or low-pressure compressed air held at a distance. Keep away from humidity and direct rain. Avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight, which may yellow the paper over time. The paper globe is delicate — do not compress, press or store it beneath other objects.

Which size works best over a dining table?+
∅ 23.6″ suits four to six seats; ∅ 27.6″ works well for larger dining areas; ∅ 29.5″ suits tables seating six to eight. All hang from a 180″ cord—adjust the drop height based on your ceiling and table size.
Do I need an electrician to install it?+
