The base is made from natural ash wood — every Plafon will have its own unique grain pattern, knots, and subtle tonal variation. These are characteristics of natural wood, never defects.

What sizes is the Plafon ceiling light available in?
The Plafon is available in two diameters, both with the same low-profile height of 4.7″:
Small (∅ 7.1″ / 18 cm) — best for entryways, small hallways, walk-in closets, and accent placement.
Large (∅ 11″ / 28 cm) — best for living rooms, main hallways, dining areas, and rooms that need broader light coverage.
Both share the same height of 4.7″ / 12 cm, so headroom will not change between the sizes — only the ceiling footprint and light distribution will differ.
Is the Plafon really suitable for low ceilings?
Yes — at just 4.7″ / 12 cm deep, the Plafon is a true flush-mount fixture that sits very close to the ceiling. It is ideal for rooms with 8-foot ceilings or lower, basements, finished attics, and any space where standard pendants or chandeliers would feel overwhelming or obstruct overhead space.
The compact silhouette also makes the room feel taller and more open — a useful effect in apartments and smaller homes.
What type of bulb does the Plafon use?
The Plafon uses a G9 bi-pin bulb (LED or halogen). G9 is a small two-pin base — different from the more common E26/E27 screw base. Bulbs are not included.
For the best aesthetic effect with the white glass diffuser, we recommend warm white LED bulbs (2700–3000K) — they complement the warm tone of natural ash wood and produce a warm ambient light. See our G9/G4 buying guide for compatibility details.
How is the Plafon installed?
The Plafon is ceiling-mounted via a standard junction box (hardwired) and connects to a common wall switch (not included). Since the fixture is low-profile and lightweight, it is a relatively simple flush-mount installation.

What is the return and exchange policy?
Dekorfine offers a 30-day return policy for undamaged items in their original packaging. Since the base is made from natural ash wood, slight variations in the grain pattern, knot placement, and tonal color are part of the wood’s authentic character — these do not qualify as defects for returns.
