Installation
- Hardwired wall installation — a licensed electrician is recommended.
- Fits a standard single-gang wall box. All mounting hardware is included.
- Watch the mane repair video before unpacking — handling the fringe correctly from the start prevents tangling.
- Unpack slowly. Lift the fixture by the metal frame, never by the mane fringe.
- If the mane shifted during shipping, gently comb it with a wide-tooth comb until it falls back into place naturally — this is normal and easily corrected.
- Recommended placement: at eye level (≈ 150 cm / 60″ from the floor) for hallways and accent walls; framing a mirror, fireplace, or bathroom vanity in pairs.

What should I do if the mane arrives tangled or messy? +
This is the most common question — and the answer is: it’s easy to fix. Simply gently comb the mane with a wide-tooth comb using long, even strokes until the strands fall naturally. The mane repair video above demonstrates the technique in under 2 minutes. If you still have trouble, contact our support team and we’ll guide you. Do not cut the mane with scissors — this is irreversible and is not the correct solution.
Is the mane made from real animal hair? +
No — it is a faux synthetic mane. No animal products are used. It is braided with soft synthetic fibers designed to drape and move like a real mane while being more durable, colorfast, and easier to maintain than natural material.
Can I wash or dry-clean the mane? +
No — water and cleaning sprays can tangle the synthetic fibers and affect the drape. To clean it, simply dust gently with a soft brush or comb it with a wide-tooth comb. For a deeper refresh, hang the installed lamp and let gravity do the work — the strands will settle naturally over the course of a few days.
Which bulb do you recommend? +
A warm white (2700K), 3 to 4W G9 LED bulb. Since the diffuser is made of white acrylic, frosted bulbs blend in seamlessly. Avoid clear filament bulbs — they may show too sharply through the acrylic shade. Cool white bulbs contrast with the warm character of the metal and fringe; stick to warm white.
How does it look as a pair? +
Beautiful. Two Antonia wall sconces on either side of a mirror, fireplace, or bed create a strong symmetrical statement — the mane fringe mirrors itself and frames the central feature. The slim 9 cm width per fixture means you can position them close to a focal point without crowding the wall.
Is the lamp dimmable? +
Yes — when paired with a dimmable G9 LED bulb and a TRIAC-compatible wall dimmer (e.g., Lutron Skylark, Leviton Decora), the Antonia dims smoothly. The fixture itself does not have a built-in dimmer.
Will the synthetic fibers fade or yellow over time? +
Under normal indoor lighting, the fibers are colorfast and will not visibly fade. Avoid prolonged direct sunlight (e.g., installing it in front of a sun-facing window without curtains), as this may affect the color over the years.
What should I do if I damage the mane after installation? +
Contact our support team with your SKU and a photo. In most cases, our brushing technique resolves the issue. For serious damage requiring replacement of the mane component, we offer a replacement service — please contact us and we will arrange it.
