Shipping creases are temporary — they will disappear over time
Because the Tyvek shade can be folded for shipping, some lamps may arrive with light creases. These are temporary and will naturally disappear over time once installed, as the material smooths out with exposure to light and heat.

Lamp not turning on after installation? Check the terminals
If the lamp does not turn on, check the electrical connections. Make sure the positive (+) terminal is connected to the positive wire and the negative (−) terminal to the negative wire. Reversing the terminals will prevent the lamp from turning on.

LED light sources are designed to last, with an exceptionally long service life under normal use. For added peace of mind, we offer ongoing light-source support — should your LED ever fail, we will always be able to provide a compatible replacement, ensuring your fixture continues to function for years to come. My lamp arrived with creases — is this a defect?
No — shipping creases are temporary and will naturally disappear over time once the lamp is installed and in use.
The lamp does not turn on after installation — what should I check?
Check the terminal connections — positive (+) to the positive wire and negative (−) to the negative wire. Reversing the terminals will prevent the lamp from turning on.
Is a dimmable version available?

What is Tyvek material?
Tyvek is a patented DuPont synthetic paper — delicate in appearance yet tear-resistant and lightweight. It diffuses light with a warm, floating quality unlike fabric or glass shades.

What size should I choose for my dining table?+
Single Medium (31.4″) suits tables 36–48″ wide; Single Large (39.3″) suits tables 48–60″ wide. Multi-head configurations work for longer tables. The cord adjusts up to 59″. Contact us for custom sizing from our atelier.
Can I customize the Tense lamp or order a different size?+
Yes—Vakkerlight designs and hand-builds in our atelier. In addition to the seven standard configurations, we create custom sizes. Email support before ordering for bespoke options.
My lamp arrived with creases in the Tyvek shade — is this normal?+
Yes. Shipping creases create temporary folds that naturally disappear within a few weeks as light and heat smooth the DuPont Tyvek material. This is normal and does not indicate damage.
How do I clean the Tyvek shade?+
DuPont Tyvek is delicate yet durable. Gently clean with a soft cloth. Avoid water or abrasive cleaners. The material diffuses warm light while remaining easy to maintain for long-term display.
