Overview
The Vertigo Pendant Lamp is a hat-shaped designer lamp first introduced in 2010. Its iconic form was conceived to tremble and vibrate with air currents — a living, breathing sculptural presence. The structure is made from lightweight fiberglass with hand-placed polyurethane ribbons, making it remarkably light and airy while commanding every room it enters.
Handcrafted construction — Each Vertigo is assembled by hand. The polyurethane ribbons are individually placed on a fiberglass frame, creating a form that responds to air movement with a subtle, hypnotic shimmering effect.

Why does the Vertigo lamp “move”?
The Vertigo is intentionally designed to respond to air movement. Its hand-positioned polyurethane ribbons on a fiberglass frame give the lamp exceptionally low mass relative to its size — allowing it to gently tremble with air currents from HVAC systems, open windows, or foot traffic. This subtle movement is a fundamental part of the design intent.
How do I choose the right size?
As a guide: S (∅31.5″) fits standard dining rooms and bedrooms; M–L (∅39–47″) works well above large dining tables and in open-plan living areas; XL–XXL (∅55–67″) is ideal for large rooms with high ceilings, halls, or loft spaces; XXXL (∅78.7″) is a true statement piece for double-height or commercial spaces.
Is it difficult to install given its size?
Despite its dramatic size, the fiberglass and polyurethane construction keeps the Vertigo surprisingly lightweight. However, due to its large diameter, installation requires careful positioning of the ceiling junction box, and we recommend using a licensed electrician. The lamp includes a 59″ adjustable cable. Sloped ceilings up to 30° are compatible.
What bulb do I need?
The Vertigo uses a bulb with an E26 or E27 base (standard US socket), max. 40W. We recommend a warm-light LED bulb — it emits a soft, sculptural glow through the ribbon layers that enhances the lamp’s dramatic three-dimensional form. Bulbs are not included.
