Adjustable Gooseneck Arm · Tiltable Shade · Antique Brass · Vintage Workshop

A vintage gooseneck wall lamp built in the vocabulary of early early 20th century — a circular turned backplate, a curved gooseneck arm that extends forward and downward, and a cylindrical brass shade hanging at the end of the arm. Both the arm and shade rotate independently on adjustable hinges, so the light can be directed precisely where you need it: a reading nook, artwork washing, or a downward-facing work position.

The brass is hand-finished with a warm antique patina that highlights the depth of the turned details on the shade and backplate — naturally complements workshop, industrial, library, and mid-century interiors.

    Two-Point Adjustment

Both the gooseneck arm and shade rotate on independent hinges — direct the light precisely.

    Turned Brass Details

Backplate and shade are turned brass with an antique patina — workshop authenticity.

    Compact Reach

14" projection from the wall — close enough for bedside activities or a reading nook.

    Antique Brass

Warm hand-aged brass with darker recesses in the turned details — pairs well with cream walls, brick, oak, and traditional or workshop interiors. The patina develops gradually over years of use, deepening its character antique.

How does the adjustment work? +

There are two independent pivot points: the arm rotates up and down where it meets the wall backplate, and the shade rotates independently wherever it hangs from the end of the arm. Combined, this means you can position the light source pointing straight down (task lighting), forward (reading light), or angled toward a wall to wash artwork. Each hinge holds its position securely once set — there is no need to retighten it regularly.

How far does it extend from the wall? +

The projection from the wall at full extension is 35.5 cm (14") — measured from the surface from the wall to the center of the shade. This is the maximum extension; angling the arm upward reduces the projection. For tight spaces (narrow hallways, cramped bedside tables), measure your distance from the wall before ordering.

What bulb does it use? +

An E12 candelabra-base bulb (North America) or E14 (EU/UK/AU), up to 25W. Because the shade is open at the bottom, the bulb is partially visible — vintage Edison-style E12/E14 filament bulbs work particularly well, too such as simple LED candelabra globes. Choose warm white (2700–3000K) for the glow most appropriate to the period and complements the antique brass. Bulb not included.

Can I order it as a pair? +

Yes — the gooseneck wall lights work beautifully as a pair on either side of a bed (each angled inward above the bedside table for reading) or on either side of a piece of artwork wall-mounted. Simply order two units. For consistent finishes in matched batches for larger orders, contact us first — antique brass finishes may vary slightly between production batches.

    Is it dimmable? +

The fixture itself is not dimmable, but becomes fully dimmable when paired with a dimmable LED candelabra bulb and a standard TRIAC wall dimmer (both sold separately). Dimming pairs particularly well with vintage filament bulbs Edison — the warm filament glow becomes more amber and atmospheric at lower brightness levels.
