Installation
- Hardwired wall installation — a licensed electrician is recommended.
- Fits a standard single-gang wall box. All mounting hardware is included.
- For symmetrical pairs, mount one left-facing double and one right-facing double at the same height, equidistant from your central feature (center of mirror, center of bed, center of fireplace).
- Recommended height: at eye level (≈ 150 cm / 60″ from the floor) for general accent use; 80–100 cm above the bed for reading sconces.
- Dimmable when paired with a dimmable LED bulb and a compatible TRIAC wall dimmer switch.

What is the difference between Left and Right? +
The double version (2-head) has a curved arm that extends in one direction. Left means the arm extends to the left and is best mounted on the right side of a feature (so the curve flows toward the center). Right mirrors this — it extends to the right and mounts on the left. For a single sconce, choose the direction that balances your wall composition.
Can I order one Left and one Right to create a pair? +
Yes — this is the most common configuration for the double version. Add one Left and one Right to your cart at checkout. They mirror each other to create perfect symmetry on both sides of a bed, vanity mirror, fireplace, or hallway wall.
Is the lampshade color an option? +
The fabric lampshade is white only — a creamy white neutral that pairs perfectly with both Brass and Black finishes. The color selection (Brass / Black) refers only to the metal arm.
Which size should I choose? +
The single version (1-head) (∅ 25 cm) is suitable for hallways, accent placements, or as a single bedside reading lamp. The double version (2-head) (∅ 60 cm) is larger and more prominent — best for flanking a mirror, vanity, or feature wall, especially in pairs.
Which bulb do you recommend? +
A warm white LED bulb (2700K) with an E26 or E27 base, rated 4–6W. A frosted or globe-shaped bulb provides the softest light through the white fabric lampshade. Avoid clear bulbs with sharp filaments — they may be too visible behind the diffuser.
Is the lamp dimmable? +
Yes — when paired with a dimmable LED bulb and a compatible TRIAC wall dimmer (e.g., Lutron Skylark, Leviton Decora), the Magdalene dims smoothly. The fixture itself does not have a built-in dimmer.
How should I care for the fabric lampshade? +
Gently clean the fabric lampshade with a soft brush or a dry microfiber cloth. Avoid moisture, localized cleaning sprays, or wet cloths — they could stain or weaken the fabric. Keep it away from direct sunlight to prevent yellowing over time.
