A small adjustable bedside reading light in the contemporary hospitality lighting tradition — a slim brass cylindrical spotlight mounted on a square plate, with the cylinder rotating to direct the light exactly where you need it. An integrated toggle switch on the backplate turns the light on and off directly at the fixture, with no wall switch required.
The integrated LED is designed specifically for reading — a focused 3W neutral-white beam, bright enough for a book in bed without flooding the entire room. The cylinder rotates and tilts so that a couple sharing a bed can each direct the light onto their own page. Suitable for bedside walls, hotel rooms, library reading chairs, and anywhere a discreet, targeted reading beam is desired.

Integrated LED and hand-finished metal. The fixture comes with an integrated 3W neutral-white LED (4000K) — the default for reading and task lighting. The brass body is hand-finished, so slight variations in tone and polishing depth are to be expected between pieces. Warm white light (3000K) and other color temperatures are available on request.

Installation
- Connected to a standard wall junction box — professional installation recommended.
- The backplate covers most U.S. single-gang boxes; verify before drilling.
- Integrated toggle switch on the backplate — no separate wall switch required, ideal for bedside use without disturbing your partner.
- Install 36–42″ above the mattress on each side of the bed; aim the cylinder downward toward the pillow area for reading.
- For use in a library or beside an armchair, install 50–60″ above the floor and angle toward the page.
- No bulb required — integrated LED is already connected and pre-wired.
- For indoor use only · clean metal with a soft, dry cloth; avoid abrasive cleaners on plated finishes.

What height should I install it at? +
For bedside use, install 36–42″ above the mattress on each side of the bed and direct the cylinder downward toward the pillow area. For a library or reading-chair installation, mount 50–60″ above the floor and angle the spotlight toward the page. The pivoting cylinder lets you fine-tune the direction once installed.
Is the Prea dimmable? +
The integrated LED is not dimmable by default. The integrated toggle switch on the backplate provides simple on/off control. If you need wall-dimmer compatibility, contact us before ordering—a TRIAC-dimmable version is available as a custom build.
Why neutral white instead of warm white? +
The default is 4000K neutral white because this fixture is designed for reading—warm 3000K can make printed text appear slightly faded at low power, while neutral white keeps text crisp. If you prefer warm 3000K (more residential) or daylight 5000K (the brightest reading light), specify this when ordering.
Can both sides of the bed have one? +
Yes—the Prea is designed for paired bedside use. Each fixture has its own toggle switch on the backplate, so each occupant can control their own light independently without disturbing the other. Order two for a standard pair on either side of the headboard.
Is it suitable for hotel rooms? +
Yes—this is a hospitality-grade fixture. The integrated switch, low 3W consumption, and adjustable spotlight are standard requirements for bedside lighting in guest rooms. For project quantities or custom finish runs, contact us for hospitality pricing.
Which finish should I choose? +
Antique Brass (shown) and Polished Brass suit warm, traditional rooms. Polished Copper appears warmer and pinker—distinctive in modern interiors. Matte Black anchors graphic, high-contrast schemes. Silver suits coastal, contemporary, and light-walled bedrooms.
