Before Ordering — Two Important Notes
Assembling the crystals is part of the experience. The chandelier is shipped with all crystals individually packaged for safe transport. You will need to attach each crystal by hand using the included small jump rings (similar to tiny key rings). Assembly typically takes several hours — plan your time accordingly. Many owners enjoy this final step; the chandelier becomes significantly more personal.
Crystal rings — gold by default, silver upon request. Fotini comes with gold-colored jump rings as standard. If you prefer silver-colored rings (for example, to match the Antique Silver finish), please contact us before placing your order so we can arrange the alternative.

Installation
- Fixed ceiling installation — a licensed electrician is recommended.
- All mounting hardware and a 100 cm / 39.4″ suspension chain are included. The chain length is adjustable on site.
- The crystals are packaged separately for safe transport — set aside several hours to attach them using the included jump rings before installation. We recommend doing this on a clean table with the chandelier resting on its side, before mounting it to the ceiling.
- Confirm that the bulb size matches your chosen chandelier: The Small uses E27 × 1, and the Large uses E12 × 3. Purchase bulbs accordingly.
- For dining rooms, hang the bottom of the fixture 75–85 cm (30–34″) above the tabletop.
FAQ
Why does the chandelier require assembly? +
Crystal chandeliers are extremely fragile when fully assembled — shipping them assembled almost guarantees damage. By packaging each crystal individually and including the jump rings, we ensure that your chandelier arrives in perfect condition. The trade-off is that you will spend a few hours attaching the crystals by hand before installation. Many owners find this final step rewarding — your chandelier becomes truly yours.
How long does crystal assembly really take? +
For the Small size, expect approximately 2–3 hours of focused work. For the Large size, expect 4–6 hours — there are significantly more crystals to attach. We recommend doing this on a clean table with good lighting and splitting it into two sessions if necessary. Don't rush: each ring must close completely so that the crystal hangs securely.
I want silver crystal rings instead of gold — how can I order them? +
Contact us before placing your order. Send a message through our contact form or email — let us know that you would like silver-colored rings, and we will confirm availability before your purchase. We do not offer this option directly at checkout, so this step must be completed beforehand. Otherwise, gold-colored rings will be included by default.
Which size should I choose, and which bulbs do I need? +
Small (∅ 27 cm) uses one E27 bulb — ideal for entryways, breakfast nooks, small bedrooms, or above (paired) bedside tables. Large (∅ 53 cm) uses three E12 candle bulbs — ideal for full-size dining tables, formal entryways, or larger living areas. Note: these bulbs are different sizes — be sure to purchase the correct base for the size you choose.
Are the crystals real cut crystals or acrylic? +
The lamps feature real cut crystals — transparent, faceted, and weighted. They refract light with the optical clarity and prismatic sparkle that acrylic substitutes cannot reproduce. Each drop is hand-faceted, so subtle differences in cut and clarity between crystals are normal.
What does the “antique silver clay” finish mean? +
It is a hand-applied finish that gives the wrought iron a softly aged silver patina — not a glossy appearance. The result is more elegant and aged, suitable for traditional, transitional, and some modern interiors. Antique Gold has the same hand-finished character in a warm gold tone.
Is it dimmable? +
Yes — paired with dimmable LED bulbs (E27 or E12 depending on the size) and a compatible TRIAC wall dimmer (such as Lutron Skylark or Leviton Decora), the Fotini dims smoothly. Dimmed crystal lighting is particularly atmospheric — many owners install a dimmer for this reason.
How do I clean the crystals? +
Turn off the power and allow the bulbs to cool. For light dust, use a soft microfiber cloth or a clean duster. For a deeper clean, gently wipe each crystal with a soft cloth lightly dampened with a 50/50 mixture of water and isopropyl alcohol — this evaporates cleanly without leaving residue. Avoid spraying commercial glass cleaners directly onto the crystals (excess can affect the iron finish).
What if a crystal breaks or arrives damaged? +
Individual crystals can be replaced. If a crystal is damaged during shipping or use, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery with photos and your SKU — we will promptly arrange a replacement crystal.
